Vila-sacra is located in the center of the Empordà region, in the province of Girona.
The municipality has an area of 6.02 km2. It is bounded on the north by the terms of Figueres and Peralada, on the east by Peralada and Fortià, on the south by Fortià and the Far d’Empordà and on the west by the Far d’Empordà and Figueres.
