When we created Empordà Turisme there were many things that we were not clear about: we did not know what structure we would take or how much representation the public and private sectors would have within the association. We also did not know that, almost twenty years later, we would continue to incorporate new members to help them open doors in the tourism sector.
But we did have one thing clear. An important one that made us row in the same direction: we knew what we wanted to achieve.
The concept was very simple. Really.
We wanted to create a group of professionals in the tourism sector who would work together to promote the region and who, taking advantage of synergies, would help respond to their needs.
The fact that we now have about 300 members is a good indication that we put it right. And that, thanks to the work of all, these companies and public organizations are taking advantage of it.
