Empurias: excavations in the Greek city

For several years now, France has been celebrating with great success the National Archeology Days led by INRAP (the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research) with the support of the Ministry of Culture. Once again this archaeological dissemination event expands its horizons with the vocation of becoming the European Days of Archaeology, and the MAC-Empúries joins in with various activities and an open day.

An archaeologist will explain the sector of the excavation where work is being done and will update you on the latest developments in the research project developed by the MAC-Empúries focused on the study of the port areas of the site.

We will also visit the museum’s warehouses to see how the objects recovered from the excavations are kept.
