Sanctuary of la Mare de Déu de la Salut

The complex formed by the sanctuary of Mare de Déu de la Salut and the buildings of the inn, although currently much modified and rebuilt, has its origins in the seventeenth century. It was built on the remains of Mas Cadira, and inaugurated in 1681. The founder was Felip Olivet, who died in 1710. During the 19th century, the sanctuary was restored, after the destruction that the war must have caused. Great. In 1887 the work on the new temple was completed and in 1891 the new inn was inaugurated. In 1930, the architect Pelai Martínez designed the main altar, which was damaged during the 1936-39 war. Reconstruction work began in 1942. In this sanctuary, with a long tradition in the region, various gatherings are held and the inn is open all year round.
