Cadaqués

Cadaqués sailor, artistic, bohemian and natural. A people of great wealth in every way. Located in the middle of the beautiful places of the Natural Park of Cap Creus will provide us with routes as attractive for hikers as the path to the Cap de Creus Lighthouse (the northernmost place on the peninsula), Paratge de Tudela, … coves solitary blue and crystalline water.

And it is that the colors of the sky and the sea, and of the rocks that surround it have become with inspiration of great number of artists, among them Salvador Dalí, who have made of Cadaqués their place of creation giving light to a large number of art galleries that are now part of our streets.

Thus the white houses with blue doors and windows, crowned by the church of Santa Maria and its impressive Baroque altarpiece, and the small beaches within the town, have become an iconic image of Mediterranean.

Cadaqués is culture and tradition. The relative difficulty of accessing it has meant that the people of Cadaqués have preserved ancient customs and traditions that are very much their own and that they proudly preserve, among them the peculiarities of the salty speech of the Cadaqués dialect.

There are also events of great international resonance such as the International Music Festival of Cadaqués, which is now in its fiftieth edition and which has brought prestigious performances to Cadaqués, or the latest InCadaqués Festival that brings us closer to the world of photography of the world’s best artists and that finds in Cadaqués the perfect setting for his creations.
