Our priority is people and municipalities. Each of the 68 towns and villages in the EmpordĂ has its own unique characteristics that make it special. That is why this County Council leads services, projects and initiatives across a wide range of fields with a clear objective: to make everyday life easier for the people of Alt EmpordĂ while keeping the essence of the region alive.
Through the Tourism Department, we promote the strategic planning of tourism in the Empordà , the inventory and assessment of tourism resources, the transformation of resources into tourism products, as well as information services, advisory support and the promotion of the region’s tourism offer. We also foster tourism marketing, encourage digital communication, actively participate in and coordinate projects, seek funding opportunities and develop European projects. In addition, we strengthen and promote the quality label Productes de l’Empordà and the Empordà brand.
