Medieval Empordà 2 days

Day 1: Origin – Castelló d’Empúries Figueres

Arrival at Castelló d’Empúries, Empordà’s medieval capital. Via a guided tour we will get into the Middle Ages, discovering the mysteries and best hidden treasures of the Basilica of Santa María (Empordà’s Cathedral), the Jewish Quarter, the medieval prison, the walls and many other places where our story started and evolved. Optional lunch in a restaurant with extraordinary views of Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls. Afterwards, we will go to Figueres for check-in at the hotel and accommodation.

Day 2: Figueres – Requesens Cantallops Castle

Breakfast at the hotel, leave the rooms and departure towards Cantallops. Upon arrival, we will find a forest track that will lead us to Requesens’ Castle. There we find a majestic castle from the 11th century, located inside the Albera Natural Park, in a privileged environment of great beauty. During the guided tour we will discover the best kept parts of this magical place in its thousand years of history. At the end, optional lunch in Cantallops. Finally, return to origin.
