Immerse yourself in the charm of medieval music within the historical setting of Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery. From July 8th to September 2nd, 2023, enjoy a series of performances and workshops that will transport you to the medieval era and enrich your sensory and intellectual experience as a visitor.

Program:

July 8th, 6:00 PM: “Music and Manuscripts at Sant Pere de Rodes.” A musical proposal by Antoni Madueño aimed at enhancing medieval music in its artistic and research aspects.

July 20th, 7:30 PM: “Troubadours and Wine.” Dive into the fascinating world of troubadours and discover the relationship between music and wine. Price: €10.

August 6th: Medieval Polyphony Workshop. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, delve into the art of medieval polyphony and discover how these beautiful compositions were created.

August 20th, 7:00 PM: “Songs and Legends of the North.” Enjoy a concert by Sverre Jensen and Antoni Madueño, where music and legends of the North merge into a unique spectacle.

September 2nd: Two highlighted activities:
6:30 AM: “Aeterne rerum conditor: the Hope of Light.” A special moment at dawn, where music resonates in perfect harmony with the hope of eternal light.
10:00 AM: “Sacred Proportions.” Discover the importance of sacred proportions in medieval music and how they are reflected in its compositions.

Most events are free of charge, except for the August 20th show, which has a price of €10. This program is open to the general public and particularly aimed at heritage enthusiasts and medieval music lovers.
