Friday, June 23rd, the Flame of Canigó will arrive, and we will be able to enjoy various recreational and cultural activities.
La Jonquera is ready to celebrate the traditional Sant Joan’s Eve this coming Friday, June 23rd.
At 7:00 p.m., the arrival of the Flame of Canigó at Plaça Nova is scheduled, followed by the lighting of the torch by the Centre Excursionista Jonquerenc i Gràfic.
At 10:00 p.m., the correfoc (fire run) will begin with the Banyetes de l’Albera accompanied by the Tambors de l’Albera. Following that, the bonfire will be lit on Passeig del Riu. The route will be as follows: Plaça de l’Ajuntament, Carrer Sant Miquel, Carrer Alzines, Carrer Pujada d’en Delhom, Carrer Àrias Comellas, and the Riu parking lot.
At 11:00 p.m., we will have a Sant Joan’s Eve concert with the Orquestra Mediterrània at Plaça Nova.
