Menhir de Palaus

The so-called Menhir de Palaus, located very close to the Mas del Forn, in the area known as the Palaus, was found fallen in 1975 by Joan Verdú Costa and introduced to the Geseart group by his daughter Dolors Verdú. On June 24, 1987, coinciding with the feast of St. John and the summer solstice, it was rectified as part of a friendly popular festival. Due to its dimensions – 3.20 m high, 0.78 m wide and 0.38 m thick – and the interesting sculptures or engravings it presents, it is a truly unique specimen.
