The tower was built in the late 16th century. It originally had the base walls three meters thick and eight meters high, crowned by battlements and battlements. The tower was two stories high and had an upper parapet. The ground floor was used as a cistern and the upper floor as the home of the garrison. Apparently there was an outside wooden walkway to access the upper floor. This space was divided into four rooms in the shape of a quarter circle, with a loophole for an individual firearm in each. To the left of the door was an interior staircase leading up to the parapet, which rested on a half-cane-shaped impost that turned around the tower. The great tower of Norpheus seems to have been destroyed by lightning in the 17th century.
