The Can Massanet oak is a century-old oak listed as a monumental tree by the Generalitat de Catalunya since 1991.
At the foot of the oak there is a spring, which supplied water to the residents of the municipality and also to those of Figueres. Currently, the water is no longer drinkable and the oak is part of the route of the Manol River route. As a curiosity, the composer Manuel Bertran i Pujol dedicated the sardana “La font de Can Massanet”, premiered in Vilafant on September 16, 1952 for the festival of Sant Cebrià.
