Mas de les Torres, a building with origins dating back to medieval times, located in the historic center of Vilanova de la Muga, within the municipal district of Peralada. This farmhouse features a rectangular structure with a square interior courtyard and a square tower.
The main building, covered with Arab tile, consists of a ground floor with porches, a first floor, and attic spaces. The tower, with four floors, stands out for its imposing presence. The main entrance is marked by a large segmental arched portal.
From the 18th century onwards, the farmhouse became the property of the Marquises of Alfarràs, who carried out significant renovations, including the construction of the arcaded gallery in the courtyard on the south side. In 2014, the tower occupying the southeast corner of the farmhouse suffered severe damage during a storm. However, it was painstakingly restored between 2015 and 2016. During this intervention, eight stone balls dating from the late 14th century were recovered.
