Connection of the Cap de Creus lighthouse to the Tudela and Mas Rabassers area with Itinerànnia

Hiking in Cap de Creus Natural Park: An Unforgettable Route

Following the marked trail, after a few hundred meters with some zigzags and trail markers, you will reach the junction AE240 Font de cala Jugadora. From here, follow the direction towards Paratge de Tudela and Port de la Selva.

You will arrive at the next junction, AE244 Ctra. del Cap de Creus, where you can either visit the Paratge de Tudela (trail 17 of the Natural Park), with the entrance just 100 meters away, or continue in the direction of Port de la Selva and Cadaqués via Mas Rabassers. By following the markers, you will reach the junction AE241 Mas Rabassers.

At this point, you have two options:

1. Head towards Port de la Selva via Mas Vell, following Itinerànnia and the GR11 Trans-Pyrenean trail. At the Itinerànnia junction AE138 Mas Vell, the trail network offers two marked routes:

   • Continue towards Taballera, staying on the GR11, and you’ll arrive at Port de la Selva via the Tamariua area.

   • Or connect towards Mas dels Bufadors, passing the junction AE139 Sobre Mas dels Bufadors. At the next junction, AE140 Mas dels Bufadors, continue towards Port de la Selva, with a section that coincides with the red and white markers of the GR92. The trail will bring you into Port de la Selva via the cemetery, skirting puig de l’Oratori.

2. Head towards Cadaqués by following the yellow markers of Itinerànnia, arriving at the junction AE239 Sota Puig Pelegrí, which you may have already passed if you went to the lighthouse via the old trail. The return to Portlligat and Cadaqués follows the same path as the ascent.

During access restriction periods, you can also return via the shuttle bus.

This route offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Cap de Creus Natural Park, with multiple trails connecting charming villages and spectacular landscapes.
