Maçanet de Cabrenys

Maçanet de Cabrenys is a small medieval village located at the foot of the Pyrenees, which is specifically part of the Empordà and Alta Garrotxa.

The village is also known as La Vall Infinita, as it is surrounded by nature and mountains, such as the Sierra de Les Salines, ideal for mountain sports, such as hiking or mountain biking.

In addition, we have the Guide to the Spaces of Silence, with the geolocation of 25 idyllic spaces, in the middle of nature, where the visitor can enjoy the silence and disconnect from the daily noise.

The guide divides the spaces into three thematic categories: those of silence with spectacular views, those immersed in the forest, and those located next to water points.

We also have the well-known Routes of Exile, with which you can enjoy our surroundings and know the history of the town, as it is estimated that, between the end of January and the beginning of February 39, the Empordà went pass between 465,000 and 470,000 refugees fleeing to France.
