Vinyes dels Aspres Cellar, located in Cantallops, the northernmost inland village of Alt Empordà, preserves generations of winemaking tradition. Our vineyards, all family-owned, extend across this rugged and dry region, in the shadow of the Albera massif.
With a granitic and slate soil, ideal for obtaining quality grapes, our vineyards are notably influenced by the land and the Tramuntana wind. The cellar, situated in the historic ancestral home Can Batlle, has been the place where wine has been cultivated since the 17th century.
In the late nineties, with a renewed passion, the heirs decided to revitalize the family’s winemaking activity. Sensitive to environmental preservation, we work with respect for the land, avoiding the use of aggressive synthetic products.
With a complete production cycle, from the vineyard to the glass, we enhance traditional varieties that define the uniqueness of our wines. Using ancient and reliable techniques, and with great care, we produce only 100,000 bottles each vintage.
