An edition that comes with new features, first of all, there will be two types of bread-making workshops.

At 10 a.m. there will be the Workshop for adults: How to make bread at home, while at 5 p.m. it will be the turn of the Family Workshop: Let’s learn to make bread. Both workshops will be taught by professionals from the Guild of Artisan Bakers of Girona.

Prior reservation is required

Secondly, the Friends of the Dalí Museum join the Fair with the conference: Dalí. Bread, bread and always bread, by Josep Playà. The event will take place at 11 a.m. in the Sala del blat of the museum. Once again art will be present at the fair with a great figure such as the brilliant Dalí.

And thirdly, there will be a presentation of literary novelty: Live the Earth. The book will be presented by the writer Anna Roca and the Castellón farmer Joan Dalmau. A book for all those people who are interested in growing, cooking or consuming products from the earth in a responsible way. With recipes for each season, prepared by cook and writer Maria Nicolau. Phrases made and said for each month of the year, selected by the author Maria José Valiente. And finally, with interviews with producers made by Anna Roca in which the strengths of the agricultural and livestock sector of the territory are presented. The event will take place at 12.30pm at the same museum and will end with a tasting of Tramuntana bread, courtesy of the Guild of Artisan Bakers of Girona.

As every year, there will be the fair market all day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., around the museum and the A prop market, organized every Sunday by the APPA in Plaça Joan Alsina. We will also have the opportunity to see, in the museum courtyard, the old farm machines. Specifically, a threshing machine and a mowing and binding machine so that visitors can understand how these early examples of field mechanization worked. Due to the state of drought in this edition it will not be possible to offer the activity of mowing and threshing wheat.

At the Fair there will be space for magic, that of the magician Raul and his SPECTACULAR. A show that includes participatory magic effects with handkerchiefs, ropes, cards, etc. and a great escapism effect with ropes. At the end of the event, which will be at 6.30pm at the museum, there will be a tasting of sugar cakes offered by the Girona Artisan Bakers Guild.

During the Fair there will also be space to learn more about the museum and its collection of machines through various guided tours. At 1:00 p.m., a guided Enfarina’t tour will be offered to discover the old flour factory, which will end with a tasting of local products: Tramunta bread, Rufa beer and Aigua de Vilajuïga.
