In this outing we will go into the wetter forests of Maçanet de Cabrenys to get to know first hand the surroundings of the headwaters of the Arnera River. We will learn to observe the state of conservation of the riparian forest and the ecological state of the river from the taking of water samples, the analysis of the microfauna and the plant species that live there. In groups we will enter the water with salt shakers and other materials to sample the area. From the data taken and through teamwork, we can know the state of the river, predict the effects of climate change and see the need to preserve the natural environment. From Tapis, we will follow the path that leads to the Coll de la Dona Morta. Two kilometers away we will find Arnera, where we will do the sampling. On the way back to Tapis, a delicious tasting of local products awaits us.
