Aiguamolls - Festival Senderisme - Empordaturisme

Hiking Festival 2021 – Walking the Wetlands

The route starts at the Sant Pere Pescador tourist office, we will cross the bridge and follow the left bank of the river Fluvià until we reach the Mig de dos Rius reserve. Here we can see Caramany Island, an integral reserve of the park. The route continues along the Camí de la Llúdriga, La Llissa, a small municipal jetty, until you reach the sea.

We will walk along the beach until we find an observation tower, and we will continue the route in the direction of Mas Matà. In this section of the route we will find different lookouts and ponds until we reach the Senillosa Observatory where we will contemplate unbeatable views of the Empordà plain.

The route continues to the Mas Matà car park where we will take a path that will take us to the place where we will take the Carrilet dels Aiguamolls to return to the tourist office. The return trip by rail will link with the Pirinexus route. On this route we can see the large expanses of apple orchards in Sant Pere Pescador. During the route we will meet a local apple producer who will tell us about his day to day. The route will end at the tourist office where we will have a small tasting of products made with apples.
